To ask the Secretary of State for International Trade, what proportion of investments made by the UK Export Finance are provided to small and medium-sized enterprises.

13% of the value of the support provided by UK Export Finance for UK exports in the 2018/19 financial year was provided to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and 79% of the businesses UKEF supported in this financial year were SMEs.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
