To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, pursuant to the Answer of 6 December 2018 to Question 198212 on Global Navigation Satellite Systems: Costs, what assessment he has made of the annual running costs of the proposed Global Navigation Satellite System.

The annual running costs of the proposed GNSS will be assessed as part of the Engineering, Design and Development Phase (EDDP) which is currently underway.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
