Her Majesty's Government is in regular contact with a wide range of Western and African countries concerning the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The UK supported the United Nations Security Council Press Statement on the Electoral Process in DRC, which was issued on 28 November. On Wednesday 6 December, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office hosted a meeting of Great Lakes Special Envoys from Europe and the US to discuss the DRC's recently published electoral timetable. This will also be discussed at the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Monday 11 December.
