To ask Her Majesty's Government, further to the Written Answer by Baroness Warsi on 26 February (WA 304), what are the small number of state-controlled churches and other places of worship in North Korea.
We are aware of four state-controlled churches in Pyongyang-two Protestant, one Catholic and one Russian Orthodox. It is not known how many North Koreans freely attend these churches. Other places of worship in North Korea include a mosque on the Iranian Embassy compound and some Buddhist temples.
