To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what the (a) quickest and (b) slowest times taken to process an application for a convention travel document submitted in each of the years from 2000 to 2010 were.

The information in the format requested could be obtained only by the detailed examination of individual records at disproportionate cost.
However the published targets for processing applications for Home Office travel documents are 70% within 20 working days and 98% in 70 working days.
