To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when his Department last reviewed its assets and land and property holdings with a view to identifying and disposing of surpluses.

The Scotland Office regularly reviews its assets and are unlikely to be disposing of any assets in the next year.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
