We have been clear that policing should be devolved to Wales. We are continuing to consider the next steps put forward by the independent team led by retired chief constable Carl Foulkes, which explored the potential options for a devolved policing service in Wales.

We have agreed and published a joint work plan with the Office for National Statistics on the coherence of Welsh language statistics. The first output from the work plan was published in October last year. We continue to work closely with ONS on the work plan and on ways of measuring Welsh language statistics in the future.

Land and property holdings are held by departments to deliver operational and policy outcomes. Those assets are reviewed in line with the Welsh Government’s overarching corporate asset management strategy, taking on board a best practice asset management approach, which aligns with 'Managing Welsh Public Money' guidance on assets.

Representatives from mid Wales attend our visitor levy working group where potential impacts of a levy are discussed. A regulatory impact assessment will be presented alongside draft legislation in the autumn. It will be for local authorities to decide to raise a levy following their own impact assessment and local consultation.
