The Queen's Market is an excellent example of what our Transforming Towns programme can achieve, bringing new life to vacant sites. We are working closely with Denbighshire County Council, who are currently leading a procurement exercise to appoint an operator best placed to deliver the Queen's Market offer.

The Welsh Government's 'Quality statement for palliative and end of life care for Wales' sets our high-level expectations, and we invest over £10.5 million a year to help ensure that anyone requiring palliative and end-of-life care in Wales has equitable access to the best possible care and support.

All health boards have protocols in place for the management of deaths in healthcare settings, including referral of the death to the medical examiner service and arranging for the death certificate. This will then allow for arrangements to be made with funeral directors for the collection of the deceased.

The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee is responsible for commissioning gender identity services for Wales. The office of the chief medical officer is included in routine meetings between the Welsh Government and the JCC in relation to gender identity services.
