Mrs Anne Campbell: I, too, was privileged to be one of the thousands of international observers who travelled to the west bank for the Palestinian elections. Under the gaze of those international observers, the Israeli army considerably eased the restrictions on Palestinians passing through the checkpoints. Does my hon. Friend agree that the presence of international observers could have a huge impact on the...
Mrs Anne Campbell: To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to what level the (a) UK and (b) English population of the cormorant would need to fall (i) in the breeding season and (ii) in winter for the Government to decide that it was no longer meeting its obligations for this species under the EU Birds Directive.
Mrs Anne Campbell: In the run-up to the debate on sitting hours next Wednesday, is my right hon. Friend aware of a rumour that has been circulating among some right hon. and hon. Members? It is suggested that, if the House votes for a return to the dark ages and later hours on Tuesday, that will automatically mean that Members will be free to leave at 5 pm on Thursday. Would he like to set the record straight?
Mrs Anne Campbell: To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what the expenditure of each agency sponsored by her Department on research and development has been in each financial year since 2001–02; and what percentage this represents of that agency's total expenditure in each year.
Mrs Anne Campbell: May I congratulate my right hon. Friend on the excellent report by the Modernisation Committee on sitting hours and ask him about September sittings, of which I am a great supporter? I understand why there will not be any September sittings this year, but I urge him to introduce a proposal enabling questions to be submitted within a two-week period. That would mean that we would not have a...
Mrs Anne Campbell: My hon. Friend has said that he will be taking another look at dangerous roads, so will he look again at the A14, which runs between Cambridge and Huntingdon? A very large number of accidents happen on that road, so can anything be done to improve the situation before 2010?
Mrs Anne Campbell: Will the hon. Gentleman give way?
Mrs Anne Campbell: To ask the Deputy Prime Minister what the percentage change in council tax imposed by Cambridge city council has been in each year since its inception.
Mrs Anne Campbell: How many local authorities have sanctioned the use of dispersal orders since their introduction.
Mrs Anne Campbell: Will my hon. Friend consider whether local authority intervention is necessary in the use of dispersal orders? My local authority, which is Liberal Democrat controlled, voted against the principle of dispersal orders in 2003, voted to use them in 2004 and is now considering whether to renew their use in 2005. Such dithering and delay has a bad effect on some of my constituents.
Mrs Anne Campbell: Given that, under the Child Trust Funds Act 2004, parents with qualifying babies will start to receive their vouchers in January, does my right hon. Friend agree that it would be interesting to have a debate about whether those funds legally belong to the children concerned or whether a future Government, who were hostile to trust funds, could take them away?

Mrs Anne Campbell: If he will make a statement on the impact of the state second pension on women.
