On a point of order, Mr Amess. I cannot help observing that in the selection of new clauses, Government new clause 4 has been selected before new clause 1. I have not been in the House long. Can you advise me whether it is in order for the fourth new clause to be selected before the first and what I might do to ensure that new clause 1 is not talked out later today?

This is entirely in order. Government new clauses come first, and it was the Government’s decision to put new clause 4 before new clauses 1 and 2. That is the advice that I have been given, but thank you, Mr Baker, for raising the issue.
