Gerald David Shamash, having been created Baron Shamash, of West Didsbury in the City of Manchester, was introduced and took the oath, supported by Baroness Hayter of Kentish Town and Baroness Smith of Basildon, and signed an undertaking to abide by the Code of Conduct.
