Policing and Crime Bill — Schedule 1 — Consent of Fire Authority and Councils or Local People Before Police and Crime Commissioner Given Fire and Rescue Responsibilities
A majority of MPs agreed and wedi pleidleisio against requiring the consent of the relevant local councils and the fire authority, or the majority of people taking part in a referendum, before a Police and Crime Commissioner is given responsibility for a Fire and Rescue Service.
