Part of Prime Minister – in the House of Commons am ar 11 Medi 2024.
International law is clear: dropping 2,000 lb bombs on densely populated civilian areas is a crime. It is beyond dispute that Israel has used F-35s to do exactly that, yet this Government have chosen to exempt F-35 components from the arms licence suspension, when all they had to do was say that Israel could not be the end user if UK-manufactured parts were included. Last week, the Prime Minister stood at the Dispatch Box and said,
“we either comply with international law or we do not.”—[Official Report,
Vol. 753, c. 303.]
Why has he chosen not to?
