Mr. Secretary Rifkind, supported by Mr. Secretary Baker, Mr. Secretary Heseltine, Mr. Secretary Wakeham, Mr. John Selwyn Gummer, Mr. Secretary Hunt, Mr. Secretary Lilley, Mr. David Mellor and Mr. Roger Freeman, presented a Bill to provide for the construction of a new bridge over the Severn Estuary between England and Wales and roads leading to the new bridge and associated works; to make provision for the levying of tolls in respect of use of the existing Severn bridge and the new bridge; to make other provision for and in connection with the operation of the bridges; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the First, Second and Third time, pursuant to the Standing Order of 18 October, and passed.
