It is a great honour and a privilege to present this humble petition on behalf of 42 residents of the village of Dinas Powys, in the Vale of Glamorgan, who are greatly concerned about the plight of John McCarthy and others who have been held hostage in the Lebanon for up to five years.

Wherefore your Petitioners pray that your Honourable House will urge the Foreign Secretary to increase efforts to secure their release.

And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray, etc.
