I thank the right hon. Gentleman for that reply. Can he say what extra steps he is taking to increase exports to this very important market and to South Africa? Will he give an assurance that no political mumbo-jumbo will stand in his way in trying to increase exports to these countries?

We shall attempt to increase exports to these countries, and to many others, in the year which lies ahead. We shall be making many proposals to this end.

Will the right hon. Gentleman bear in mind the simple point that the wisest course is to maximise the export effort in respect of those countries, such as Spain, which pay?

I will not disregard the point which my hon. Friend raises.
