Mr. H. Wilson:

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what information he has received from the United Nations command in Korea about proposals by the South Korean Government for the seizure of territory at present outside that Government's control.

I have no confirmation of Press reports that the Republic of Korea have recently raised with the United Nations Command the question of extending the area of their administration and authority.

Mr. Wilson:

In view of the publicity given in one Sunday newspaper a week last Sunday on this question, will the Minister of State inform the House immediately if he receives any information of this intention?

I have already sought some information.
