asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can now make a statement about the proposal made by the Government of India that the General Assembly of the United Nations should meet on 9th February.

If it should happen that no progress towards a political conference on Korea can be made as a result of the Berlin Conference, will Her Majesty's Government support the proposal of Canada that the Assembly should meet again in March?

There is no doubt that if nothing comes from Berlin, that proposal will have to be very carefully considered.
