asked the Minister of Agriculture on how many and on which of the areas affected by fowl pest a ban has been imposed on the movement of live and dead poultry.

Mr. T. Williams:

The movement of live poultry into any other part of Great Britain is prohibited from (i) an area comprising England and Wales except the counties of Cumberland, Durham, Northumberland and Westmorland, the Furness Division of Lancashire and the Isles of Scilly, and (ii) the Orkney Islands. The ban on the movement of uneviscerated poultry carcases from the Orkney Islands has been removed from today.
