asked the Secretary of State for War whether rubber truncheons are part of the normal equipment of interrogating officers of the British Army in Germany; and how many have been issued since the end of the war.

Rubber truncheons are not now an authorised issue. Some were, however, issued to 21 Army Group before the end of the war. Some of these may still be in use. I have, however, given instructions for them to be withdrawn.
