Mr. De la Bère:

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will circulate a list of those Orders and Regulations which are no longer obtainable at the Stationery Office because they are out of print and for other reasons unobtainable.

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave him on 23rd March.

Mr. De la Bère:

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that on that date he did not give an answer to the Question which I asked. I have asked him to circulate a list of all those orders which are not available to the public at the Stationery Office. Will he do this? Is he aware that in 1947 many orders and regulations were issued and that very many are not available to the public? This is a very serious matter and not one lightly to be cast aside. May I have an answer? The right hon. Gentleman has made no effort to answer.

I informed the hon. Gentleman that if he would give me details of any orders in which he was interested, I would see that he got copies. I can do no more than that.

Mr. De la Bère:

On a point of Order, many orders are not available to the public. It is not a question of whether I am interested in them. The public are more and more subjected to orders of which they know nothing. It is monstrous.
