asked the Minister of Health what steps he intends to take, in view of the length of time that the housing shortage is likely to continue, in order to adapt as many former Service huts as possible for temporary civilian accommodation.
Arrangements already exist whereby Service huts not required for an overriding Government purpose can, where suitable, be adapted and used for housing. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of my circular to local authorities on the subject.
