asked the Minister of Education if he is aware of the overcrowding at Horsforth Feather-bank Primary School due to raising of the school leaving age; why prefabricated huts have not been erected although the foundations have been laid and building materials have been on the site for more than four months; and what action he intends to take to overcome the increasing overcrowding at this school.

My information is that the school, though full, is not overcrowded. Delay in providing the huts has been due to the local education authority's difficulty in acquiring the necessary site, which was entered upon prematurely four months ago in advance of agreement with the owners. Agreement has now been reached and building will be resumed as soon as possible.

Can the Minister state when the hut's will be completed?
