asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, in the interests of the inhabitants generally, and of the safety of children in particular, he will give instructions for the R.A.F. lorries travelling to and from the camps at Melchbourne, Bedfordshire, and at Yelden, to use the Air Ministry road which by-passes the village of Melchbourne itself.
I am looking into my hon. Friend's suggestion that we should re-open this road, which was closed at the instance of the local farmers. I will communicate with my hon. Friend as soon as I have done so.
