asked the Secretary of State for Air why the Boston Borough Corporation have not been re-imbursed in respect of damage to road signs caused by a Royal Air Force lorry on 18th May, 1946, although the town clerk has addressed 16 letters to the appropriate authority.

I regret to say that this claim has been mishandled. It should have been settled some months-ago. It has now been paid in full and an apology has been made to the Town Clerk of Boston. I am grateful to the hon. Gentleman for bringing this case to my notice.
