Oral Answers to Questions — Housing – in the House of Commons am 12:00 am ar 7 Awst 1947.
asked the Minister of Health how many men are employed on the housing site at Smith- field, Egremont; and whether he is satisfied that the number of workmen now employed is sufficient to meet the demands made according to the building programme.
Sixteen men are employed on site preparation. There is no outstanding demand for labour, but I am watching progress to ensure that preparatory work will be sufficiently advanced to allow house building to begin when a contract is let.
