Oral Answers to Questions — Poles, United Kingdom – in the House of Commons am 12:00 am ar 15 Gorffennaf 1947.
asked the Secretary of State for War what action is taken in the case of Poles convicted of offences in a civil court when their sentences are completed; and whether there is any intention of deporting these Poles, or of retaining them in disciplinary formations of the Polish Rehabilitation Corps.
All convictions of Poles by the civil courts are referred to my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary who considers the deportation of the offenders in serious cases. There are no special disciplinary formations in the Polish Resettlement Corps.
Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether it is possible to deport a man who has been convicted in this way and whether any recommendations for deportation can be carried out?
I should think so, Sir.
