asked the Postmaster-General for what purpose his Department has taken over the Air Ministry lease of 10 acres of the Palace of Engineering, at Wembley.

No accommodation in the Palace of Engineering has yet been taken over by the Post Office. Arrangements have, however, been made for the early acquisition of rather less than seven acres for the repair and servicing of telephone equipment and to meet urgent motor transport and storage requirements.

In view of the fact that this is one of the best industrial sites in the country, with an exceptional rail and road service, why should the Post Office use it for these light industries when it is urgently required for the purposes of heavy industry?
