asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what periodicals are allowed to be read by prisoners in Wakefield gaol; and why "News Review," "Cavalcade" and "Truth" are banned

It is the policy to allow any periodical to which there is not substantial ground for objection, and at present 43 different periodicals, including "News Review" and "Cavalcade" are allowed to prisoners at Wakefield. No application has been made for "Truth," but this periodical would be allowed.
