asked the President of the Board of Trade why no cotton hosiery is being imported from Hong Kong; and whether he will arrange for token imports in order to help rehabilitate this industry.

No recent applications for licences to import cotton hosiery from Hong Kong have been received, nor has any request been received from the Colony to participate in the token import arrangements.
