asked the Prime Minister whether he has considered the statement sent from the Liaison Committee of Transport and Industry, representing a large proportion of trade and industry of the United Kingdom, in response to the invitation for criticism contained in White Paper, Cmd. 7046; whether he has noted the opinion expressed therein; and what course he intends to follow, in view of that opinion.

The answer to the first part of the Question is, "Yes, Sir." As regards the second part, there has been no change in the policy of His Majesty's Government as announced in The King's Speech.
