asked the Secretary of State for War if he proposes to continue the system of training elaborated in the battle schools and other training units during the recent war, in view of its importance, as supplementary to the ordinary system of school and adult education for the training of the citizen.

I am in some doubt as to the implications of the last part of the Question. As regards military training, however, methods which have proved valuable during the war will, as far as is practicable, be continued in peace.
