Oral Answers to Questions — Housing (Scotland) – in the House of Commons am 12:00 am ar 25 Mawrth 1947.
Lieut.-Commander Clark Hutchison:
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will now announce the date of publication of the Report of the Scottish Housing Advisory Committee on reconditioning.
It is hoped to publish the Scottish Housing Advisory Committee's Report on "Modernising our Homes" on 15th April.
Can the right hon. Gentleman tell the House how long this Report has been printing—how long it is since it was sent to the printer?
It is a fairly long time since it was sent to the printer, but there have been certain difficulties. There happened to be a Command Paper ahead of this, and that put difficulties in the way of my getting this Report printed as early as I should have liked.
Does the Stationery Office only print one paper at a time?
No, Sir. They handle more than one paper at a time, and no one knows that better than the right hon. and learned Gentleman.
Could it not have been printed in Scotland?
I have a faint suspicion that it was.
