asked the Secretary of State for War what are the rates of pay for British officers and Polish officers not yet in the Resettlement Corps, respectively, in the ranks of second-lieutenant, lieutenant, captain, major and lieutenant-colonel.

Would my right hon. Friend say whether the rates of pay for Polish officers are, in fact, less than for British officers?

These rates for Polish officers are free of Income Tax. Qualification pay is not issuable to Polish officers.
