asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether, in view of the policy laid down by the Prime Minister, he will take steps to have withdrawn the instruction, dated 16th January, 1947, of the North-Eastern Division of the Coal Board to deputy area general managers, that all council work such as rural district council, urban district council, &c., must cease before 16th March, 1947.

I am informed that the instruction has been withdrawn.
