asked the Minister of Supply if he is aware that electric fittings required to finish ships built in Aberdeen are, in many cases, eight months in arrear; that this prevents the completion of ships; and if he will expedite the supply of these fittings so, that these ships can be completed.

I was not aware of any delay in the supply of these fittings, but if my hon. and learned Friend will let me have details I will do what I can to help.

While I thank the Minister for his reply, may I ask him if he will bear in mind that finished ships are badly wanted, that the workers need the work and that this is causing unemployment?
