asked the Minister of Works whether he is considering the establishment of new Government offices on the South bank of the river in the region of County Hall.
Yes, Sir. Proposals are under consideration in consultation with the London County Council as the planning authority. I understand that the Council will issue a general statement on the subject shortly.
Will my right hon. Friend make arrangements to put these plans and proposals into the Library, so that we can consider them before a final decision is reached?
Yes, Sir, I will consider that.
Will not Government offices get their timber fast enough?
We shall try to see that they get the same consideration as other similar institutions.
