Oral Answers to Questions — Royal Air Force – in the House of Commons am 12:00 am ar 5 Chwefror 1947.
Mr. Baldwin:
asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he is aware that there are a number of redundant men serving in R.A.F. forecast centres in India; and whether, in view of the urgent demand for manpower, he will make inquiries into this and other similar cases where young men are wasting their time.
I shall be glad to consider any information which the hon. Member may desire to send me about the number of meteorologists in the R.A.F. forecast centres in India. But I must add that when the manning of these centres was reviewed a month ago, there was no redundant personnel; on the contrary, they were a little short of their proper strength.
