asked the Secretary of State for War if he will state the terms and conditions of service for commissioned officers in the T.A.
I hope to place in the Library this week a copy of a pamphlet setting out the conditions of service for male officers and other ranks of the Territorial Army.
Is it not a fact that some part of the terms of service has already been communicated to the Press, and would it not be a good thing if the right hon. Gentleman in future first communicated the terms of such an important thing as the future of the Services to this House?
Yes, Sir. I always endeavour to acquaint the House with matters affecting my Department. I do not think any communication has been made to the Press from my Department, and certainly not on my authority.
Can the right hon. Gentleman say whether any communication has been made to the Territorial Army Associations in the counties?
I could not say without notice.
