Oral Answers to Questions — Fuel and Power – in the House of Commons am 12:00 am ar 23 Gorffennaf 1946.
asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he will now make an increase of 50 per cent. in the paraffin ration.
I have been endeavouring to improve the position in regard to supplies of paraffin for the country but it is one of the petroleum products which is in short supply, and I am not yet able to announce any relaxation. I would also refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave on 30th April to the hon. Member for Evesham (Mr. De la Bère).
Can the Minister give us any reassurance that he considers it will be possible for him to increase the supplies before the winter?
I wish I could, but at the moment I cannot.
