asked the Secretary of State for War if he is now satisfied that all possible steps are being taken to allow local leave to members of the Forces serving in the Far East and to provide them with leave centres, entertainments, particularly E.N.S.A. shows, comforts and welfare generally.
asked the Secretary of State for War whether steps are being taken to introduce N.A.A.F.I. canteens for the use of British troops in the Far East in place of local service contractors.
asked the Secretary of State for War if the improvements recently announced by the Prime Minister for the comfort and welfare of the troops in India and Burma have now been carried out in full.
asked the Secretary of State for War if he can make any further report on the welfare conditions available to the troops in Burma; and what organisation is being prepared for the extension of this service to China and other Far Eastern areas into which our naval, air and Army forces will enter in the progressive advance upon Japan.
Can my right hon. Friend say, at this stage, how many E.N.S.A. parties there are operating in forward areas of S.E.A.C.?
