Mr. J. J. Davidson:
asked the Secretary of State for Air on how many occasions enemy aircraft have been sighted over Glasgow since the start of the war?
I regret that it would not be in the public interest to give the information desired by the hon. Member.
Mr. Davidson:
Is the Minister aware that the Lord Provost of Glasgow at a public meeting recently made a statement that enemy aircraft had been seen over Glasgow? Why can Glasgow's Lord Provost make those statements when the Air Minister cannot?
The Lord Provost of Glasgow sees more than other people.
