I do not propose to move the first Amendment in my name— in page 1, line 6, leave out "person," and insert"vendor"—because I believe that the President of the Board of Trade will move an Amendment later which will cover the same point. If the right hon. Gentleman will be good enough to give me that assurance, I shall not move this Amendment.

That is correct. I think I understand the object of the hon. Gentleman's Amendment, but I do not think that the Amendment, in the form in which it is drafted, would achieve that object. Therefore, I have put down an Amendment of my own.
