asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is considering a proposal for the postponement of the elections for any of the legislative bodies and local authorities in the West Indian Colonies?

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the suggestion has been made that there should be an extension in Jamaica for another term, and in that case would he consider that it should be for the duration of the war rather than for another period of five years?
