Can the Prime Minister tell us whether the circumstances of old age pensioners are being taken into account; and since I do not suppose that the inquiry will now proceed, will any emergency steps be taken to increase these pensions, in view of the very difficult circumstances of pensioners—increasingly difficult, because so many members of families who are going on war service will not be able any longer to give that help which they have been giving to pensioners?
I could not answer that question without notice. If the hon. Member will put it down, I will endeavour to answer it.
