asked the Minister of Transport whether he can now state when the Bill relating to the construction of the Forth Road Bridge will be presented to Parliament?

I am not concerned in the preparation of the Bill to which the right hon. Gentleman refers, and I cannot therefore say when it is likely to be brought forward. As I informed the right hon. Gentleman on 17th May, the Government are unable in present circumstances to offer a contribution towards the cost of this bridge.
