asked the Prime Minister whether he will ask His Majesty's Ambassador in Berlin for a report about John Scott, of Clarence Road, Canning Town, who was killed, and James Frederick Cole, of Addington Road, West Ham, who was injured, in a motor-cycle accident, on Tuesday night, between Baden-Baden and Baden-Oos, when they crashed into a column of German soldiers and one of the German soldiers was killed and two were injured?

A report has been received from His Majesty's Consul-General at Frankfort, which confirms the main facts of this accident, in which I much regret to say that Mr. Scott and a German soldier were killed. The matter is being investigated by the German police, whose report will no doubt be communicated in due course. Meantime, the wishes of Mr. Scott's family regarding the disposal of the body have been communicated to His Majesty's Consul-General at Frankfort, who is endeavouring with the co-operation of the German authorities to give effect to them. I understand that Mr. Cole's injuries are not dangerous, but that he may have to remain in hospital at Baden-Baden for another week or two.

May I take it for granted that as soon as definite information is available, the right hon. Gentleman will send me the information?
