asked the Minister of Transport the number of occasions during the past five years when there have been fires on electric trains on the Southport and Liverpool railway line; and whether he will make representations to the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company to improve their rolling-stock on this service?
Captain Hudson:
I am not in a position to give my hon. Friend this information, but I am in communication with the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company and will let him know the result as soon as possible. I have drawn the attention of the company to the latter part of the question.
