asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many aeroplanes have landed at the Nicosia aerodrome in Cyprus during the past 12 months; whether there is now a hangar; and whether the edges of the aerodrome are distinctly marked and clearly visible from the air?

Mr. M. MacDONALD:

Twelve aeroplanes have landed at the Nicosia aerodrome in the past 12 months. There is no hangar. I am advised that the aerodrome is marked with a centre circle and corner angles of whitewashed stone, which are reported to be clearly visible from the air.
