asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he has any information regarding the construction of a naval and seaplane base at Sylt; and whether he can give any details?

The FIRST LORD of the ADMIRALTY (Sir Bolton Eyres Monsell):

We have no information regarding the construction of a naval base at Sylt. There has been a commercial seaplane station on the island of Sylt for many years past, but no details are available.

Is the First Lord of the Admiralty quite certain that this base is purely a commercial one or is it in connection with the naval agreement with Germany? Will he ascertain further particulars?

Sir B. EYRES MONSELL:

No details are available.
